first
today marks the first day i have worked overtime.
in part, it was due to my visit to the "classroom of the future" at nie.
it struck me that the classroom of the future will require students to be fairly well to do as every student will require a micro$oftie-powered tablet (not the medicinal kind). as well as wireless broadband at home.
anyway.
i spent the day editing. and i encountered a paradox. irony.
i was editing something regarding - one of my pet topics - intellectual property.
and among the text i was editing, a blatant, though probably unintended, example of plagiarism. piracy. illegal copying.
rip, mix and burn my friends.

Wah u actually went to the classroom of the future.
I had the opportunity last year to meet some of the team in charge of it, cos they were interested in the system that we did.
It's amazing how our tax money is going to fund a bunch of moe scholars to just "envision" the classroom of the future.
More a novelty, a dream. Not that I'm saying its not possible to achieve. Just that is it justified to spend so much resources dreaming when the schools are already putting it into reality in their own ways.

Yup, the visit was directly related to my work. I was similarly aghast. These people should get their heads out of the clouds and consider real world situations.
Hmmm... hope I'm not ruffling any sensitive feathers. Lest I find myself threatened with a defamation suit.
