Happy Birthday, Blog

My blog is three! Actually, I've blogged for three years. My blog has previously existed as an EasyJournal and a LiveJournal.

Naturally, I wanted to continue the User ID on blogspot, but someone took it. That someone hasn't blogged since... August 2003!! Well, that's why:

a) This site is 'acroamatical'; and
b) I am squatting on WordPress. Just in case.

I know, I know, I can hear people like Sam saying, "Get your own domain!" Well, it's hard to beat free.

Anyway, I meant to say that it's been quite a journey. I never kept a journal prior to blogging. I never thought I would. So it's always interesting to read my past entries. Sometimes, it's almost like reading someone else's blog: Did I really say/write/do that?

Besides documenting the good times and the bad, as well as being a repository of interesting resources, some of my posts remind me of what I failed to mention, either on purpose or otherwise. There's context around each post that only I am privy to.

That's ironic, yet comforting. Blogs are supposedly where some people bare their soul. Yet it's a refuge all the same. I think my previous sub-title says it best: A place to hide | A place to reveal.

I'll say it nonetheless -

"Get your own domain!"

Well the difference between you and me is that I've always kept paper journals - I've got quite a few dog-eared ones over a decade or so. And these contain my innermost thoughts which I deem inappropriate to share with the world.

My blog's just another medium of writing for me. More like a personal website that doesn't take itself too seriously, know what I mean? Remember the days of our xoom websites?

that's why i have different blogs for different "privy", although it makes me seem like schizo. =)

Hey Kenneth
Thanks for linking my blog to yours. Out of curiosity, how did you come across my blog?

Like reading your musings. Very insightful. :)

You write well. Hope to see more of you in my blog too.

Have a great weekend!

Elvina dear, I'll answer that for you on Ken's behalf - correct me if I'm wrong Ken, but he probably came across your blog via mine because of your entry on Cheryll.

You see, Ken, Cheryll and I were all in the Students Council in college. :D

Singapore very small hor?

Actually... I have to correct you. =P

I came across Elvina's blog through the FMSlist, where she posted about her kelong trip. Asked her about it - Elvina doesn't seem to remember - and subscribed to her blog since then. I found out about Cheryll Valentine's Day... err... hunt(?) direct from Elvina's blog.

But yes, Singapore very small. =)

Indeed small! So we went one round and fulfilled the six degrees of seperation theory!!

I got to know Chandler --> thru Cheryll who was my colleague ---> who knew BOTH Chandler and Ken ---> who knew me thru FMS list.

Who else do you guys know knows me too? hahhaha...........
